• Question: I am curious to know why we get brain fog and how does it come about? What are the best ways to combat it? Thanks

I am not totally sure what you mean by brain fog!! If you mean getting sleepy and not focused then making sure you sleep sufficiently at night would be a good start, as when people are sleep deprived they have been shown to perform worse on cognitive tests. Making sure you do sufficient exercise and you eat healthily would be important too, so you have enough energy and oxygen going to your brain.

Feeling foggy could be due to various factors including lack of good quality sleep, poor diet, dehydration etc to name a few. If I had experienced fogginess, I’d try to figure out why it happened (did I sleep well? have I eaten healthy? etc), and then take steps to minimise the chances of happening again (if poor sleep seemed to be the cause, I’d try to sleep better).
