I loved that movie and I thought it was really accurate overall, in the sense of for example saying that memories that you don’t try to recall very often get forgotten, that experiencing strong emotions can make events more memorable. It’s also true that we can experience a mixture of emotions (and children when they become older increasingly become able to acknowledge the fact they can be both happy and sad at the same time).
But of course we don’t have little people in our heads representing different emotions and sitting at the control centre….
Did you notice the big red “puberty” button at the end? I am looking forward to the next movie about adolescence!

I really enjoyed this film and as Iroise said, it’s not all totally accurate but it still does a really good job of explaining some of the brain.
The way that memories can change and are often associated with emotions is accurate. I also liked how the headquarters resembled the part of the brain responsible for making new memories and recalling them: the hippocampus.
It’s this part of the brain that’s first effected in Alzheimer’s disease, so I’m especially interested in it.
