Yes, I feel very lucky to do my work. I really like most parts of my job, including thinking about brain and behaviour, designing experiments, figuring out what the results mean, discussing findings with colleagues, and communicating the findings through reports and presentation. An added motivation is that research has the potential to help people in the future.

Yes I do. I think I am very lucky to do a job that I really enjoy. One of my favourite things about working as a researcher and lecturer at university is how varied it is. I have to give talks, analyse data, make nice figures and graphs, program experiments, think about new studies, interact with participants, work with other researchers and my own students, sometimes I may be interviewed on the radio, or even on TV! And all this while trying to understand better how our brains work.

I wouldn’t do a job that I didn’t like unless I was very desperate for money. Luckily, I have never been in that situation. I love my current job very much. It’s a rewording job as I feel that I may affect other people’s lives in a positive way. My colleagues are amazing too, which also helps with enjoyuing my time at work. Loving my job makes my life much easier as I can’t wait to get to work, and often can’t wait to get back to work.
