      Around 1 in 10 people over the age 65 get dementia.
      Half of people over the age of 85 have dementia.
      850,000 people in the UK have dementia (around 1.3% of the UK population)

      Keep in mind that stats are for dementia in general. Dementia is an umbrella term, and some types of dementia are more prevalent than others.
