Question: How would curing or fixing Dementia help society?

We currently spend a lot of money to find treatments (or a cure) for dementia, to support people with dementia, to support their carers, their families and so on. If we find a cure for dementia, then we won’t have people suffering from dementia and therefore, their lives will be better. In turn, their carers and their families won’t have to take care of them, so their lives will be better. And all the money we currently spend to find a cure and support people with dementia could be used for something else (hopefully more fun).
