      A cell is the basic building block of the body. Cells are very small and you wouldn’t be able to see most of them with the naked eye. A cell typically consists of a membrane (that like a wall around it) and a nucleus, which contains the DNA. There are different types that take up different roles around the body. For example, there are red blood cells that carry around oxygen .
