Question: Why did you choose to specifically study brain-eating bacteria?

This bacteria is a very interesting organism as it is able to cause brain disease with a rather small number of genes dedicated to virulence (compared to the classic, model bacteria E. coli). There is clinical significance in finding out what contributes to this ability!
