• Question: why do you want to focus on childrens skills?

      If we just looked at adults, we would only see the end result, but would not understand how they got there. By studying children, we can see how skills are acquired because children are learning a lot of things and their brains are developing rapidly the same time. We can also see how relatively simple things can develop into more complex skills. For example, we could study how language learning is predicted by the ability to process sounds in babies.
